TransUnion		 A new passed in 2021 (Economic Growth, Regulatory Relief, and Consumer Protection Act) allows people to freeze their credit files for free. This is a block that prevents crooks from opening lines of credit under your name. It is also free to remove when you actually need to apply for new credit. Since there are three credit bureaus in the US you need to freeze each of them. [7/20/23]
